GAW (founded 1978) is an association of lesbians and gay men who are
creative writers - poets, dramatists, fiction writers. Our aim is to
support writers by providing opportunities for them to meet, to read, to
discuss and develop their work
We hold monthly meetings at different places in the London area for that
purpose. Some meetings are accessible to wheelchair users.
Although London-based, we are a national organisation and welcome
members from all over the country. We give what help we can in enabling
members to set up local branches of GAW. Our quarterly newsletter keeps
members in touch.
Membership is open to all lesbian, gay and bisexual writers, beginners as
well as published authors. The yearly subscription is £7 / £3 unwaged.
Postal enquiries include an SAE.
