I yawn and I stretch
The time is coming near
To retire for another year
I’ve been cramming it all in
Nuts, lip-smacking berries and fish
It’s all been too delish!
I’m round and proudly fat
And really happy with that
My cave is picked out
It’s dry and clean
And cosy and warm
My shelter in many a storm
I will be alone
So can snore and groan
But I’ll still keep my snout out
And wake now and then
Shifting around in my den
Truth be told
I’ll not miss this cold
So, see you in Feb or March
Perhaps we can make a date?
It would be roar-some to kick things off with a mate!
